Starting your own business is not easy, especially for young people who need both financial and professional help.
In order to encourage its students to develop entrepreneurial ideas on time and start their own business after their studies, the Faculty of Health and Business Studies Valjevo in 2015, with the support of its partners, defined the concept of Business Incubator based on the model of entrepreneurial education.
ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT
This meant that students from the beginning have contents in which they develop their entrepreneurial initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
The business incubator enabled graduates and full-time students to establish a company during their studies with the support of their mentors who ensure that they can more easily go through the founding process, as well as that for a certain period, they have secured business space.
CONTEMPORARY SPACE
Precisely this challenge, along with the lack of support for the beginner entrepreneurial idea, is one of the basic problems they faced in Valjevo and the surrounding area.
Since its founding in 2015 until today, this initiative has outgrown the Faculty and today represents a common infrastructure with office and / or laboratory facilities that seeks to provide all its customers with strategic services to add value to business development.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
The business incubator for start-up entrepreneurship functions as an association for research and development, which through various projects and cooperation with non-governmental organizations has the opportunity to provide the necessary funds for the development of this concept.

According to the Study on the current state of business incubators in the Republic of Serbia, which was prepared in 2019 by the Ministry of Economy with the support of the EU, there are 56 initiatives for business incubation in Serbia, which are divided into two categories.

Business incubator Valjevo belongs to the category of incubators that support self-employment and is the first established incubator in the Kolubara and Macva districts.
It is intended for all people with initiative, students, high school students and all those who have an idea to start their own business.

The incubator is located in the Singidunum office building at Zeleznicka 5 in Valjevo, which includes several initial offices where interested tenants could start work, as well as the accompanying necessary common rooms.
So, everything is aimed at making it easier for business beginners, but also at providing conditions that would enable the business incubator to become independent and provide a better service.
